Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What can I do to prepare for my photoshoot?

A: The main thing you can do to get ready is to come hydrated and relaxed. If you have any specific shots or poses you want to get, let me know before the start of our session.

Q: What should I wear?

A: The first thing I will say is to wear something that you are comfortable in and feel good about. What you wear should be influenced by the time of the year and the location of the shoot. Classic looks are great because they're timeless. When it comes to style, think simple. For group shots, coordinating (not matching) with a scheme of 3-4 colors looks nice. Try to avoid any busy patterns, logos and prints, or bright colors that make one person stand out from the rest. Wearing a variety of colors keeps the bodies from looking like they're blending in to one another. Save vibrant colors for professional headshots. I will send you a copy of my style guide prior to our session.

Q: Is there anything I should bring to my session?

A: I recommend bringing water and snacks if needed. Simple, non-messy treats make great bribes for kids. If you would like to bring a specific prop (ex: baby shoes, a framed photograph, etc.), you are welcome to do that as well. Blankets also work great for couples and families.

Q: What can I expect during my session?

A: For the duration of your session, I will place you and give you various prompts for posing. You shouldn't have to worry about what to do. My goal is that you enjoy the time and feel comfortable. If you are doing a family session, I will break things up and get photos of smaller groupings within the whole party. This gives everyone a break and makes for some really special 1:1 shots.

Q: Where can we take the photos?

A: Arizona is full of beautiful sites. Although I do some studio and in-home sessions, outside is my favorite. If you have a location that is significant to you, that can make for some special photos. I know of quite a few spaces and I'm always finding more. I'm happy to recommend something- simply reach out and let's chat! Some venues require photographer fees which will be covered by the client.

Q: How do I make a payment?

A: Once we set a date and location, I will send you a contract and invoice. You have the option to pay with a card online. If you ever need to modify a payment schedule, please reach out and I will try to accommodate you the best I can.

Q: How can I support your small business?

A: Outside of booking a session, you can support me through sharing my information. Referrals are always welcome and appreciated. You can also leave positive feedback on my Facebook page or leave a review on Google! I am truly grateful for your support.

Q: When can I anticipate having my images back?

A: For my regular sessions, your gallery will be complete within two weeks of your photoshoot. If I'm able to reduce the turnaround time, I absolutely will!
